Welcome | Introduction

On behalf of the American Psychological Association and the Colegio Colombiano de Psicólogos, in partnership with the Universidad de los Andes and Asociación Colombiana de Facultades de Psicología, we are delighted to welcome you to the International Summit on Psychology and Global Health: Leadership for Emerging Challenges in Bogotá, Colombia. The Summit will build on the inaugural International Summit on Psychology and Global Health: A Leader in Climate Action, held in Lisbon, Portugal in 2019, and broaden its scope to include significant challenges to global mental health, including climate change, to jointly set a global psychology agenda through 2025.

After years of virtual meetings and collaborations, the Summit will bring together leaders in psychology from across the world to advance our joint efforts to apply psychological science to global challenges of our era. The presentations and work groups conducted by respected experts and leaders, along with important engagement opportunities, will be invaluable to advancing our discipline.
