In Beginner 1 (the first course of the Inglés Carrera program), students will receive input and practice on reading, writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation and lexico-grammar with a focus on general English instruction. During class time, students will be encouraged to participate in different activities that will help them improve their language abilities, learning strategies, and study and critical thinking skills. To support their learning process, students will be required to keep learning portfolios (physical or online) and work on technology-enhanced exercises both inside and outside the classroom. These activities constitute important assessment tools throughout the semester since students are expected to demonstrate the achievement of the learning goals proposed for each module. At the end of the course, students are expected to have achieved an A2+ level according to the descriptors of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference)
